Alex A.k.a “DJ AL.X” : Straight out of Passaic County New Jersey At 23 Years old, has been in the game for the last 6 years and has adapted a large name for himself throughout the years. His inspiration and first exposure to live DJ’ing which soon later ignited his career, was at the age of 16 at a local teen nightclub called “Bliss” in Clifton NJ where 92.3 AMP Radio: ScratchMaster “DJ-Yonny” performed a live set and AL.X was immediately influenced.
He began as a bedroom DJ in 2011 making mixes, to eventually small gigs for family, friends, and communities. He was street educated by other local DJ’s from school who heard his mixes on Soundcloud, saw his potential and took him on. By the age of 18, he won his 1st DJ contest which consisted of 26 other DJ’s for best mix and a contract with “Don’t Stop Entertainment”. AL.X took home 1st place with the contract and an opportunity to perform with “TWRK” at The Wellmont Theatre in Montclair NJ in front of 500 people. His mix was declared winner before submission deadline. After 2 months under contract he started performing in other historical places such as Pacha in New York City, The Stanhope House in Stanhope NJ, even Bliss in Clifton where it all started.
He was eventually given the position as head promoter and helped book artists such as: Nappy Roots, Chris Webby, Immortal Technique, FlipN’Gawd, Zaxx, Victor Niglio, and many more. DJ AL.X is an Open Format DJ Known for his style in blending, his uplifting energy on the stage, and his wide variety of catchy music with about 15 different genres to choose from.
